But something happened in America over the next two hundred plus years and today we find us with a very troubled nation. The very religion of peace and tolerance as practiced by the followers of Jesus Christ, are now under siege from many directions by people who have lost both their way and their morality. We Christians don't desire to force anything on anyone else, but we do demand that our rights to our belief in Jesus Christ and the moral code of the Ten Commandments be maintained at all costs. We will not sell out our Lord and Jesus to an every increasingly evil world. And it is in this endeavor that I offer this prayer.
Dear Lord, We thank you for allowing good Christian men and women to create the greatest nation on earth. No land has been nearly as blessed with the wonders of earthly life than we Americans and we know that it was granted to us because we traditionally took leadership on the world stage for the right and the just. We know that as humans we are mortal sinners but we also know that if we devote ourselves to you and live for you in love and service that your Kingdom of Paradise awaits us.
Today, however, we find many things suddenly taking place which are troubling and, in some cases, even threaten our very freedoms. Our religion with its love for you requires us to be obedient to your laws and to follow the Prince of Peace so that we may not ultimately lie for eternity in darkness. Yet there are evil forces about trying to force us to forsake your laws and accept a lifestyle which is not only morally abhorrent to us but also destructive of the laws of nature. We do not seek to judge those who live this way, but we also expect to be able to live our life for you without interference or interruption or imposition on us of rules that are contrary to the very Constitution under which this nation was founded. We also pray that you will send your Spirit to them so that they might see the error of their ways, but we know that the final determination is one of free will and each of us will have to individually answer to you when life on this earth is done.
Father, also be with our Christian brothers and sisters everywhere who are undergoing severe hardships and torture around the world just because they follow your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. May His grace always be with them, and with us, as we struggle daily to advance your love to others, for we know that only through love can the world be brought back to to Truth that you are.
Keep us safe, keep us strong, and help those in leadership positions to see the errors of the weakness of soul and spirit so that America can once again be the shining light that it has been in the past two hundred plus years. Bless us and keep us always on the right track to our place at your table when this life is done.
We ask in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who died so horrifically on the Cross so that we might live forever, Amen.
American Christians, we must stand strong and speak out loudly, never forsaking He who created and loves us always. Jesus and His message is our reason for living. Never forget that and never falter in your devotion to Him. God bless you all.
