I have received a lot of snark for my position, but felt it best to remain calm and not express high volumes of negativity to the comments but, rather, just respond with what I hope has been seen as being reasonable and not nasty. And today I am taking it a further step, I will further limit my comments on politics to general political issues and a hashtag of support with no negative commentary directed back at anyone. Why? Because I have pondered and prayed what I should be doing and I think that is the right course for me. Each of us must do what we think we should and for me this is the right direction.
From now on you'll see lots of faith based commentary, blogs about animals and nature, general human nature/lifestyle things and the like. Oh, I will sometimes be direct about the things that human nature is doing to the world and her people that I think is dead wrong, but I will try and keep individual "targets" out of the comments. I do so because it is good for personal calm, well-being and in the tradition of what my religion teaches me. I think we have gone way overboard on the snark and sarcasm and I want to play my own little part to counter that. Don't worry, I have not changed my conservative Christian values and will never support tyranny or socialism for America, an approach which if left unchecked will destroy our freedom and our well-being. But I will work hard to keep it above the fray. And you'll have to forgive me if I slip up from time to time for, after all, I am just another mortal sinner like the rest of us.
My blog talk radio show, North Florida Writer Live (which can be reached directly at blogtalkradio.com/northfloridawriterlive) will still have discussion of political issues and some can and will get rather rambunctious, but as far as Twitter goes, I think it's best to use the 140 characters available for as much upbeat messaging as possible. America and the world needs a lot more patience, calmness and kindness and a lot less written shouting at each other. I appreciate those who have followed me in the past and hope that this will not change that, but while I support The Donald despite questions about some of his rhetoric, I don't hate anyone and I only hope that at the end of this year we will elect someone who will truly bring America back, not just continue us on the road to disaster that we have been following for about the last ten years, if not more.
God bless you all.
