Let's see, in just a few short years we have completely turned the basis for the family upside down, have decided that it's okay to dig up one hundred and fifty year old graves, have continued to turn a deaf ear to Christians and others undergoing unbelievable persecution in the Middle East reminiscent of ancient times and now have given the world's most noted supporter of terrorism a free hand in continuing what they have been doing.
Meanwhile, the country is going broke, more and more people are hungry and can't support themselves, and the the crony capitalists continue to rape the country of its resources and money while the government looks the other way, as long as the big business community supports what they want done.
But the Iran deal really is the big kicker because undoubtedly they will use a mass destructive agent in a way which is likely to result in carnage not seen before. And one United States Senator could have seen to it that Obama didn't have the free hand to go with the treaty: Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee. By leading the charge to change the way issues such as this were handled thereby nullifying any treaty requirement, he turned the tide in Obama's direction. From a requirement that two thirds of the Senate vote in favor of the treaty for it to take effect, we now have a system where it will take two thirds to stop it. Republicans don't have enough votes to do that and it is not likely that a sufficient number of Democrats will disapprove of what Obama has done. They will just play stupid and go along to get along.
By the way, Corker wasn't alone in letting this happen and he was likely following the directions of the worst Republican Senate Majority Leader ever, Mitch McConnell, who promised to fight for his constituents only to cave the day after the election to Obamamania. But Corker did draw up the proposal that was passed 98-1 by the Senate. The only patriot on the vote against this travesty was Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, a patriot who saw first hand from Afghanistan what Iranian evil was all about. God bless him.
We need a major change in America and fast. This is just one more chink out of the failing armor that used to be known as the Republican Party. Sadly, we now have two parties that are in sync with one another, not with the people who put them there. God help America in these troubled times.
