Yesterday I mentioned that I was somewhat frustrated with Washington. I think that comes from living on a farm where there is a natural order to things and animals just respond to common sense. As for Washington, common sense hasn't prevailed since at least the days of Ronald Reagan. We continue to do the same stupid things over and over and wonder why we come up with the same miserable results.
Our country is in huge trouble. We are broke, our military is being torn to shambles with way to many actions expected and an always decreasing budget. Just yesterday I learned that two of our aircraft carriers, The Truman and Lincoln were either being withdrawn from a combat zone or could not have nuclear refueling done. Meanwhile, we are going off the charts on food stamps and other welfare related programs at a time when the country has no money.
I think I will pop a cork the next time someone says "Oh, the stock market is doing great" or "the job numbers show a recovery". The stock market is propped up with worthless Treasury printed dollars that will soon engulf us with major inflation. And if you think the employment picture is good, come down to my neck of the woods and ask some of the recent college grads from U of F nearby in Gainesville about it. It is all a crock, and both parties perpetuate these lies. And for what?
Finally, somebody please give me a good reason why the Department of Homeland Security is buying 1.2 billion hollow point bullets and thousand of tactical weapons for their use. Hollow points aren't even used by our military. That's enough ammo to shoot each citizen about four times. And why doesn't someone in our Congress ask the question?
Don't like to sound like a conspiracist but----well, we'll talk about this more later. Rest well, folks, but keep up your vigil. Something just isn't right in America tonight.
