The answer is very clear: WE ARE, the American taxpayers. And today our government has the perfect tool to do it with; Obamacare under the guise of Medicaid. Just think about it for a moment. When the financial disaster we know as Obamacare was created, $750 billion was literally "stolen" from Medicare to cover the thousands who would be thrown into the Medicaid system and that's where all of the illegals coming to America will get instant service for medical care needed.
Go to any hospital near the border, or for that matter in any large urban area today and you will notice an excessively large number of patients who don't speak English and are obviously unfamiliar with their surroundings. Yet they know one thing, all they have to do is find a hospital if they are sick and they will receive care. The case of Ebola victim Thomas Duncan of Liberia is a case in point. And in future cases of Ebola or the enterovirus which will be arriving in America, Medicaidwill be the payment method, for they routinely have no money with which to pay. Most do not have insurance, although that is generally a non-issue since foreign insurance is not accepted for payment, just like Medicare is not valid coverage for Americans overseas.
Meanwhile, Americans suffer more and more with each passing month from the increased cost of Obamacare, either through loss of benefits and higher cost of their private insurance or its cancellation when the insurance company "cries uncle" to the government over cost. This, in turn, throws more and more into the Obamacare program and will, as most are starting to understand, push the entire healthcare system into single payer, socialized medicine.
So as your coverage gets higher and your benefits get lower, you are likely to see your doctor opt out through retirement or limiting his/her practice, while the flood of illegals gets better and quicker treatment than you do. And in the case of a major disease or epidemic, the treatment cost is much higher for a longer period of time, resulting in more cost. It's an unlimited cost spiral right out of the playbook of Professors Cloward and Piven of Columbia, two radicals whose ideas have been accepted by our socialist President.
And then there are our poor military personnel, ultimately receiving their care after service is done from a dysfunctional Veterans Administration which throws money at eyewash (TVs, fancy offices, furniture, etc.) while the mechanisms to support quality healthcare are continually lowered. Visit a local VA hospital and look carefully and you'll see. It is truly shameful and the supposed actions being taken by Congress are inconsequential; the system needs a major overhaul.
So while we self-create more and more medical emergencies courtesy of the Obama Administration, the system is nearing the point of collapse, and collapse it must at some point. The best suggestion that can be made is for each of us to do our personal utmost to maintain our health independently. For it is quite possible in the days ahead that once you enter a medical treatment center, you may not live to tell about it.
It's time to put your faith in God and ask for His help. As Ronald Reagan so aptly said, "Government doesn't solve any problems; government is the problem." Once we come to that realization, there just might be hope that things can change, but without that realization our way of life, especially as noted by our medical care system, will continue to be a living disaster. And as for Ebola, well, it's just another symptom of the madness.
