Yesterday was a great day for freedom and a bad day for tyranny as the voters of Colorado recalled two state senators who were leaders in the push for statewide gun control. Despite being outspent 20-1 by proponents of the measure (and a lot of help from that national "I know what's best for you" bully Michael Bloomberg), State Senator John Morse, the President of the Senate, from Colorado Springs and State Senator Angela Giron, from Pueblo were both turned out by the voters voicing their displeasure about the new law. And what makes this even more remarkable is that the Democratic controlled legislature also changed voter i.d. requirements to help their cause and they still couldn't stop the gun-loving public from winning the recall.
This is a remarkable accomplishment, America, and the God-fearing Conservatives in Colorado deserve a welcome round of applause for their efforts. At a time when many are about to give up on the American ideals of individual freedom and protection of their privacy and God-given rights, these great patriots stepped forward to show the rest of us how it is done.
When I got up this morning and went on line looking for news, I knew it was good news when so many sites didn't mention it. But the MSM can try to hide the truth and slant the news for the left-leaning agenda, but the truth will find its way into the public. And the folks in Colorado just gave one more push for freedom that we all needed.
Let us all learn from this effort, redouble our efforts to pursue what is right and maybe, just maybe, we can bring this country back to what she used to be. What is more appropriate on the anniversary of 9/11 than a vote for individual liberty and the right to bear arms.
God bless the good people of Colorado and God bless America.
