There was David Cameron from the UK, Angela Merkel of Germany and most of European leaders, Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel and even Mahmoud Abbas from the Palestinian organization. But Barack Obama was nowhere to be seen. And not only did our President not make the trip, but his Secretary of State, Eric "There is no such thing as Islamic terror" Holder was in Paris for a meeting with world leaders on terror yet he failed to attend the event. All other world leaders at the conference went to the Paris march and another 2.5 million marched in other French cities.
The highest ranking American dignitary in attendance was our Ambassador to France. What a show of disrespect from our country which seems hell bent on sinking into the shadows of indifference. No, that's incorrect, for we are already there.
So what was Obama's excuse?. Well, he really didn't have one. His White House came out with a weak line of something to the effect that since Americans weren't involved in really wasn't our concern.
Really, Mr. President, aren't you the one who says you are a citizen of the world first? And while I certainly don't agree with that remark in that you mean it to say that America is subservient to a One World Order, we certainly need to support our European friends in time of crisis and despair. Of course, since you seem to have little time for compassion, favoring a role of dictating to others instead, it really isn't surprising.
Then, of course, you could have had a golf match although the weather wasn't good for that yesterday. Or, now I've got it, you couldn't be pulled away from the football playoffs. By the way, did you have a betting pool that attracted your attention?
Or perhaps it's even more sinister. Could it be that you found nothing wrong with what took place in Paris? After all, since you have little compassion for the murder of police officers and have publicly stated that the Muslim prophet can't be ridiculed, does that mean that cold blooded murder is okay?
I ask these questions not to be caustic or disrespectful, but because your words on so many issues indicate that you lack clarity of moral purpose and direction, preferring instead dogma and rigid extreme Leftist ideology. Don't you think it's time that once and for all you come out and clearly condemn Islamic terror when even the most liberal states in the world are finally beginning to come to grips with the truth?
Oh, we won't wait for an answer because we know you aren't likely to give us one. And that is just one of the reason why America is showing so much disfavor with you and your Administration. It's time for you to turn over a new leaf and support the principles of freedom and liberty. That's what America is all about.
And to our friends in Paris, we the American people we apologize for the behavior of our President. We as a people support you and will always stand for freedom, be it speech or any other aspect of it that is important to societies that are open and honest. God bless you in this terrible time. And God bless America, too, for I fear that we have some very dark days ahead. We all must be in this fight together.
Freedom: fight to keep it in tact or you will lose it. Once it is gone it won't likely by coming back.
